The kind of composite decking is also called co-extrusion WPC, which is used by the newest co-extrusion technology. The protective shield is enchanced by special formulation, generally compostion is 45% HDPE, 45% wood fibers and 10% chemical additives.
The typical characteristic is that it max keeps wood look like traditional WPC, but by enhancing the shield the products is better for anti-UV, wearing resistance, water-absorption, longger life etc. than traditional WPC.
